Advance screenings of P&P3 in the U.S.
*tosses raw meat in water, stands back to watch feeding frenzy*
Sign up at Entertainment Weekly’s site for a chance at passes for an advance screening of P&P3. No dates yet (and with the Editrix’s luck it will be when she is on holiday across the pond) and only a few cities: Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York, Philadelphia, Portland (OR), San Francisco, and Washington, D.C.
We will keep an ear to the ground for other screenings.
It is our experience with these type of advance screenings (we’ve attended several) that they overbook, so if you get the passes and decide to go, SHOW UP EARLY. Like several hours early.

Somebody fly me to US!
And, uh, on another note — sorry about mentioning this, Mags, but looks like we have another copy edit prob on the net – take a look just below the form (right under E-mail column) :-
- Yes, I would like to “recieve” information on upcoming film releases from Focus Features. -
Please see it with an open mind. I’ve now seen the movie three times and bought the soundtrack (which is beautiful) – and contrary to any previous comments, it’s wonderful!
YES! YES! There’s one near me. I’m definately going to have to see it-bringing friends with me, too.
Ohh…should have read the entire thing, first. Signed up for free tickets-will hopefully get them!
I am excited there are two near me. It is nice that P&P is doing this for the States, hopefully i will also get a pass, it would be fantastic to see the film early.

I’m crossing my fingers that I’m a good demographic.
Furthermore, even if some could not get tickets for the advanced screenings, now you can figure it out which cities are going to be included in the November 11th limited release beside LA and NYC:
- Boston
- Chicago
- Dallas
- Minneapolis
- Philadelphia
- Portland
- San Francisco
- Washington, D.C.
That leaves 20 cities yet to be guessed (perhaps Miami, Atlanta, Houston, New Orleans, Seattle, after those… my knowlegde of US geograghy begins to fail).
Cinthia, the 30 cities might include Canada, too.
Julie, don’t worry. Nothing said here will keep anyone from seeing the film, I dare say. That doesn’t mean we can’t have our snarky fun. I dare say Jane Austen would approve.
Does anyone know when you find out if you got them/if they already told the people who got it?
I would guess those additional cities and also St. Louis and/or Kansas City, Denver, Memphis, Phoenix, Cleveland, San Diego, Vegas, Salt Lake City… and I’m out.
Emily, I think they email you and then mail the actual passes to you.
In the past when I’ve signed up for passes via EW, I’ve only received them via snailmail; I’ve never received an e-mail.
Patience, young padawan.
yeah, I haven’t learned that virtue yet. I’ve pretty much mastered impatience though.
Shall I tease you? I had another preview last wednesday, so I’ve seen the film twice until now. This time it was dubbed, but they did a good job.

And I’m still excited…
I was very surprised because the cinema was quite full. It was “Ladies’ Night”, we all got a glass of champagne.
The moderator asked, how many ladies had come to this Ladies’ Night for the first time and almost all hands went up. So they all just wanted to see this movie! I think, most of them were very pleased…
my excitment has worn down, but it would be nice to see it early
How could I have forgotten that also Canada is included in the limited release! Sorry for that. Well, then, still speculating we could add then to the list: Toronto, Montreal, Quebec and Vancouver.
