What!!! No Canadian cities? Zut alors!

I am crying my eyes out all over my key board! The nearest showing is almost three hours away from where I live!

I think I shall run mad! But I promise not to faint because that always brings on bad health. Best to keep active by running mad than to faint on a cold ground wet with dew!

    *screams with joy*

Nearest showing is 10 minutes away from my house. YAY!

  4. October 27, 2005 5:58 pm

Alas, I would have to drive all the way to Phoenix! The gas would cost thrice the price of a ticket :(

Run mad or faint, as you chuse, I’m not driving into Boston on a Friday night.

Maybe you can convince your uncle to take you back to Nebraska with him that morning ;)

I’m not Happy!! This is a bummer, 3 hours away!! 3 HOURS AWAY!!
    And I waited 3 months!
    This is soooo unfair.
Mary, Heather and Bridget, enjoy the show!! *forcing smile*

40 minute drive for me….not to bad. Going to Albany beats the 3 hour drive to New York City. Guess living in upstate New York is good for something.!!!

  11. October 28, 2005 1:17 pm

Don’t forget this is only the opening cities, the film will reach more cities and towns over subsequent weeks. If you’ve waited 3 months you can wait another week can’t you ?! Or can you ? :-)

I suspect that’s the list of U.S. cities only–when I get back tomorrow, I’ll see what I can do about finding out about Canada.

Mags, will we get a complete account of your trip to England? Hope so!

Oh bother! I purposely scheduled my Austen-adaptation-related thesis defense on that day, so the celebration could continue with the film, but now I find we’ll have to drive a couple of hours to see it! Perhaps there is still time to reschedule . . .

Does anyone know anything about ordering tickets in advance?? I’d love to go to see it in NYC, but don’t want to drive an hour+ unless I absolutely have tickets.

  17. October 30, 2005 11:24 am

Sean, try movietickets.com and fandango.com. Don’t know how far in advance they’ll sell the tickets, but keep checking.

Lisa, yes, started working on it on the plane yesterday–my travels with Jane. I came home last night and watched P2, homesick for Bath already (though I kept squealing, “I WAS THERE! I WAS RIGHT THERE!”).

I am excited about this movie…but do you think it can possibly live up to A&E’s FABULOUS adaptation? Pride and Prejudice is my favorite book–will Hollywood do it justice?

when will the movie go worldwide???
    *really wants to watch*

  24. November 12, 2005 1:05 pm

    haaa
    saw it at premier yesterday
hard core people organized bus trips
if they live far away.its not too late-
as suggested on the movie web site
but we live close enough to drive in.
this is a great adaptation and
    will be a gigantic success.

My husband said if I could find it within 5 hours driving distance we would go… closest was 7 hours away from my country town. The town 27 miles from us will get it later in the month though and I will for sure be there, dragging along my Mr. Darcy (husband)who humors me about my love of Jane Austen and most of all pride and Prejudice.
