Dear Precocious Young Persons,

Leave Jane Austen out of your puerile parodies, please. We have a Cluebat of Janeite Righteousness and know how to use it. Just ask your compatriots at DePaul.

Cordially (for now),
The Editrix

Thanks for the links to the archives!
I can’t scarce believe it! And the sad thing is that those people either get paid or get some benefit for their studies for this kind of BS. (At least I think that is how it is handled in the US-college magazines.)
Your comments were wonderful and your use of the cluebat of Janeite Righteousness completely justyfied!
    Thanks for the good work!

A middle aged (?) Austen whore, with a real masters degree in psychology (hehe!)

P.S. Please excuse any strange phrasings of mine, English being my second language. :)

Sylvia–at least the Oxford student publication is literate. I will give them that. It’s just so tiresome and gee-aren’t-we-clever. I remember being that way at their age and I dare say I was equally tiresome. ;-)
