Alert Janeites Cheryl K. and another who did not leave a name forwarded information from Publisher’s Lunch Deal News about an upcoming book called Confessions of a Jane Austen Addict by Laurie Viera Rigler.
Laurie Viera Rigler’s CONFESSIONS OF A JANE AUSTEN ADDICT, a literary homage, comedy, and exploration of identity, destiny, and the nature of time, that tells the story of a contemporary thirty-something LA woman and Jane Austen fan who wakes up inside the body of an Englishwoman in Austen’s time.
This means the book has been sold pretty recently to the publisher, so do not expect to see it for a year to eighteen months. We’ll keep an eye out for more info.

I’m an avid reader of Austenblog and am thrilled to see my book announced on it! I’m also happy to say that Dutton, my publisher, is moving fast. Confessions of a Jane Austen Addict will be published in September 2007.
Has anyone who has read Jane not had the fantasy of waking up in Steventon, Hampshire in or around 1800? Or, more particularly, waking up at Pemberley? I know I have. Although, what if I woke up as Lydia Wickham in Yorkshire? No No No was supposed to be Pemberley, darn it!!!! Would also not mind sailing off with Wentworth…but then to wake as Harriet Smith…no no no darn it!!! Okay, will only enter time machine if proper controls installed and set for Shades of P…
