Alert Janeite Tony A. sent us a link to a literary contest going on right now at The Book Mine Set: Jane Austen vs. Edgar Allen Poe!
The voting is open until Tuesday, July 3, so as we say in the City of Brotherly Love, vote early and often!

It is starting to look like a one-sided victory for Jane, but one never knows… They might decide to hold another Masque of the Red Death and have all the attendees put in a vote for Ed.
Anyway, should JA prevail, since I cannot find an e-mail address for Mr John Mutford, I hope he checks here to read and consider my suggestion for the next shoot-out:
