Thanks for putting the great piece in about our Jane Austen Weekend. I was brought up in Africa (Nigeria, and spent many hours dreaming about England reading Jane Austen under a mosquito net) Now here I am working Lyme with a view of the Cobb from my office window…

Diana Shervington is descended from both of Jane’s brothers, and is a fantastic lady. Really lively speaker, real original and great lady!

Diana has to be a collateral descendant. There aren’t any “direct” descendants of Jane because she didn’t have any children.
