Happy Holidays from AustenBlog!

Wishing our readers a safe and happy holiday season!

In case you’re wondering how Jane Austen and her family might have celebrated Christmas, Alert Janeite Baja Janeite sent us a link to Regency Christmas traditions. Ms. Place has some more at Jane Austen’s World.

And for those of us who long to spend Christmas in Bath, here’s a post from Ripple Effects with lots of photos of Bath in December.

ETA: And how could we forget? Julie T. sent us a little Janeite holiday cheer

What fun we have at the expense of Jane’s dignity! Love the holiday cheer video! :)

I’ve had yet another JA Christmas having received ‘Just Jane’, ‘Lost in Austen’ (the choose your own adventure book, highly entertaining!), and ‘The Genius of the Place’, the fourth JA mystery by Stephanie Baron (I’m rather badly behind hand in the series). Think I’ll relax with some tea and cookies and Miss Jane! :)

Merry Christmas to you and yours! Hope your day was filled with everything you most wished for.

    Thank you Mags!! :-)
Not having looked in here just before Christmas, I hope I am not too late in wishing everyone a wonderful week, leading up to 31st and then a year that is peaceful and stressless and blessed, for everyone.
