Payson is just lovely! I was amazed to drive minutes out of the boiling Sonorian Desert into a refreshing pine forest in the mountains! What a surprise!
Arizona is an amazing state with so much variety. Don’t worry about the newspaper errors- the reporter was probably from out-of-state. Tee-hee!

Payson is a gorgeous town in the pine forests of the upper Mogollan Rim. (That’s pronounced “Muggy-on” by the way.) Not a bad drive from Tucson and a very nice place to spend the weekend. I might talk my husband into attending.
