Wheeee! We received some more photos from the concert performance (actually the dress rehearsal) and thought we would share! Photos after the jump…mouse over for captions and click for larger versions.
That last picture could thaw the most shrivelled purist heart, I’m sure. They look so – well – happy. And the idea of Elizabeth singing to JA seems odd, but it really does seem to work. (And “Ah! Sweet Mystery of Life” plays in the background . . .)
Thank you for the pictures and your previous description of the show. I really hope we get to see this production brought to Broadway. Forgive me for asking, but from the pictures, the actor playing Darcy doesn’t appear to be quite as tall and imposing as I would expect him to be. He is, after all, Darcy. Is it the camera angle? Is the actress playing Lizzy exceptionally tall for a woman?
Love the close-up of Lizzie and Darcy. I was there…the chemistry was palpable as this image shows. What a fabulous production…all we love of Austen in a fresh, new way. Listen to the music–even better than the photos.
What an odd coat. It’s the only thing I’ve seen which I don’t love, everything is so beautiful. Looks like a dressing gown.
These are great! They make me even more excited to see the show.
SQUEE!

Kiki, Darcy was not tall. Wickham and Uncle Gardiner towered over him.
In the play, I mean – I know he was tall in the book.

Odd coat indeed!
