Seems that when ever i need to use my cell phone.Emergency, car breakdown I either run out of minutes or the batteries go dead.
or this happens when i expect a important call.
I to will stick with a real book! If you drop it it just gets dirty.What happens if you drop one of those battery powered gadgets?
or if you forget them somewhere?

My eyes got blurry and tired very quickly. I don’t love reading on my laptop either.

When a gadget comes out that doesn’t burn my eyes I’ll buy it. But until then, give me paper.

It’s the original source for ebooks and still has the most books. You can download in plain text and HTML. If you have one of the tiny netbooks now popular (I have an Eee PC myself), you can use Gutenberg texts and it’s almost like a portable, dedicated ereader device.

Also I can’t believe I forgot to mention Daily Lit. Even if you have a non-smartphone, if it can receive e-mail (perhaps using the Google mail app), you can receive ebooks a chapter per day by signing up at Daily Lit. Public domain classics are free, and they have some more recent books for a small fee. It’s a great introduction to reading ebooks in nice small bites.

Needless to say, I love ebooks and have preferred them to pbooks for quite a while. Ebooks are totally indispensable when traveling. I read on my palm for several years, but now that I have an e-ink reader (Kindle), I love that even more.
