Natalie Portman signed to star as Lizzy Bennet in P&P and Zombies film

According to the Times. (And really, we were just guessing last week from Ms. Portman’s well-known resemblance to Keira Knightley.) Richard Kelly, director of Donnie Darko, is to direct.

We aren’t sure if that means the movies is actually going to be made. Since the Beeb is done with bonnet flicks, guess we won’t be seeing it on Masterpiece Classic, though.

Hhahahahahah well I am a huge fan of Natalie Portman, much more than Keira Knightly, but I am a little skeptical about this movie still! We will see i guess : ).

OK now they must sign Jean Reno as the professional-to protect her.Have Reno’s co stars from the film Wassabi here too.Would be nice to have French police, and Japanese mafia protect Jane.
How about having the zombies from Crawford, Texas?

OH COME ON! They have got to be kidding. I mean, I’m practically freaking ecstic over the book–it sounds wonderfully hilarious to me–and I can’t wait to get my hands on it. But a movie? A movie?? One just can’t help thinking, they didn’t really get that it’s a joke, did they?
What’s next? Dawn of the Dead: The Great American Novel? Bored of the Rings the Broadway drama? The National Lampoon Opera? Spoofs are great, but adaptations of spoofs… is taking it just a little bit too far.

The Onion reports they’ve hired Zach Braff to play Darcy and music is being composed and performed by The Fray.

Hahaha! How I missed this? I agree about Jean Reno as Mr Gardiner, for example!

I can’t believe Donnie Darko’s director is there too. :(

Bride and prejudice, Utah pride and prejudice, lost in Austen…
    Isn’t just ENOUGH now?!!
