And we thought putting our "Ego Shelf" on the same bookshelf with Jane Austen's novels was bold

Just imagine: “Reserve not met.”
Though what’s really bold is charging $15 for postage! For that price, you’d think free shipping would apply. Thanks to Alert Janeite Laurel Ann for the link.

Oooh, she’s selling a fuzzy kitten in a box! I want it, I’ll pay anything!
What was it? It’s down already…
“A modern manuscript in the Jane Austen tradition.” Opening bid: $25,000. Bids: 0.
If you scroll down, you can still see it (including the fuzzy cat in the box).
I’m somewhat bewildered and confused by this… it seems they are selling a manuscript for someone else to rewrite and publish? “Needs visionary scope with which to proceed” leads me to that conclusion. What is with the kitten? Are they exploiting it’s cuteness to peak interest? It is cute, but not $25,000 worth of cute.
I think she’s actually looking for a publisher and rather than do the whole query thing, is taking an “original” approach. Because who wouldn’t want to publish a manuscript that’s JUST LIKE JANE AUSTEN????
And will someone PLEASE think of the kittens???
