Christmas Austen Style, Day Two

December 24, 2010
by

Continuing the series of posts with Austenesque Christmas stories, we present a sweet story featuring Jane Bennet and Mr. Bingley by Friend of AustenBlog TeresaAF, “Tears on Christmas Eve” (quite appropriate for the date).

We would also like to present a story of our own, which we confess is only Christmasy at the end (and might be the only Christmas story ever, Jane Austen-related or otherwise, to include a flogging–there, that oughta pull ‘em in), “A Sailor’s Christmas.” As you might have guessed, it’s a Persuasion-inspired story and takes place a few months after Anne married Captain Wentworth.

Have a wonderful and safe Christmas Eve, if you celebrate, and look for the third and last link in this series tomorrow.
