In honor of the 200th anniversary of the first publication of Ackermann’s Repository of Arts, Literature, Fashions, Manufactures, &c., AustenBlog’s own Cub Reporter Heather L. has delved into her collection of fashion plates from the periodical and made a beautiful computer wallpaper for January, the first of what will be a series of twelve monthly wallpapers that will be presented at Heather’s website, Solitary Elegance.

The wallpaper features two fashion plates–one from 1809 and one from 1815–and a quote from one of her letters. The wallpapers are available in small and large sizes and there are instructions are for installing them on Windows and Mac computers.
