Pretty much, yes. The brilliant and talented Kate Beaton has done it again, and done a fabulous riff on the recent, er, developments in Austen paraliterature. (Wonder if Kate would be interested in illustrating the League of Austen’s Extraordinary Gentlemen? Hmmm.)

There really is a story called Sense and Sensibility and Mr. Darcy and Sharks in Space Riding Motorcycles Plus There is a Time Machine on the DWG. I ran across it today and couldn’t stop laughing. Kate must have seen it too and been inspired to create the comic.
