Getting Local With Jane: Neon Country Dance Edition

Standard

Welcome to Getting Local With Jane, in which we post local events of interest to Janeites.

Many JASNA regions are having their spring and early summer meetings soon, so be sure to check the regional events page on the JASNA website and your region’s website for information about any upcoming events. Many events are members-only, but if you live in the U.S. or Canada and you’re not a JASNA member yet, why in the world not?

May 15, 2010, Las Vegas, Nevada: Jane Austen Ball at Charleston Heights Art Center.

May 14-22, Old Greenwich, Connecticut: The Pound Ridge Theater Company presents I Love You Because, a modern-set, gender-switched musical adaptation of Pride and Prejudice.

This is an AustenBlog DIY post, so please leave links to your Austen-related event below.

July 2 through August 28 in Cedar City, Utah (hey, around here, 300+ miles away *is* local). The award-winning Utah Shakespearean Festival presents Pride and Prejudice. Info at http://www.bard.org . There’s a great write-up in their newsletter, which I’ll see if I can scan.
