BREAKING: Pride and Prejudice Musical Finalist in New York Musical Theatre Festival, Will Have New York Production!!!!

Standard

We were excited and delighted to receive an e-mail from Amanda Jacobs and Lindsay Baker, the creators of the P&P musical adaptation of which we are so fond, to tell us that they were selected as finalists for the New York Musical Theatre Festival’s Next Link Project–which means the play will be staged as part of the festival! We don’t have dates yet, or much information, but will pass it on as soon as we have it. In the meantime, keep an eye on the play’s page at NYMF (the Buy Tickets link doesn’t work…we checked).

I hope that it means they can do a big road show that will include smaller cities like Santa Fe, New Mexico. Would love to see it but can’t manage a trip to NYC. Congratulations to all involved!

I think Jane would have been proud. She loved a bit of live theatre and acting herself. Her family created their own little plays at home in Steventon. Every time she stayed with Henry in London there were always theatre trips. The theatre played a big part in our Jane’s life. I think she would love the whole idea of this.
